Hello......
Thanks for stopping by at the home of Russ and Jilly.
These days the site is made up of a single page with posts relating to two elements: russandjilly.net, which features news, information and updates about what we're up to, and PlanetRuss, in which Russ presents views, rants and reviews about...... well.... anything really.
Both originally from Essex in England, Russ and Jilly now live near to Zurich in Switzerland. Previously we spent almost four years in Dusseldorf, Germany. Even though we have lived out of the UK for a long while, we are still proudly English and love to return home from time to time, mainly to get a regular fix of great English food - Chicken curry at the local Indian restaurant of course.
We celebrated our 25 wedding anniversary last year and met when Russ was 18 and Jilly was 15 years old. We still feel about 30, but after a tough workout our knees tell us we're not.
Cooking
We are hobby cooks and enjoy occasional entertaining at home. Russ favourite TV chef is Gary Rhodes, even though he has that weird sibilant S sound to his TV voice.
Skiing
We like to go skiing and being English that automatically means we are not world champions, but we like it and can deal with most slopes and conditions. We're really lucky to live in an area where the nearest ski resort is only 45 minutes drive away from our house. That means we get to ski every few weeks during the season.
Wine
Love wine. Hate wine snobs. Just bloody drink it.
Photography
Russ thinks he takes a good photo, but only ever uses automatic settings of his Sony DSLR. Preferring to manipulate them later in Photoshop, but almost always finds no time to do that. There are probably 1,000 photo's waiting to be finalised that will probably wait until retirement to get done. (Most of the ones that do get finished are seen on russandjilly.net).
Shopping
There's always time for a bargain.
Exercise
We both like exercise - Russ favours running and light gym work, whereas Jilly is a water bird with the ability to swim for a long, long time. A Christmas present was a Wii fit outfit and we use that all the time and find it hilarious.
Traveling
We like to get about a bit and even though work entails a lot of airplane time, it's still fun to go for holidays or weekends.
Friends
We enjoy meeting with friends and hope to see you soon.
So why no "contact us" bit?
Well that's because this is a friends and family info site and most people we would want to contact us have our details already. It's also to prevent spam mails offering to grow the size of Russ' p*nis, provide longer more satisfying lovemaking or asking for help in rescuing an african princess and make 600million pounds in the meantime.
